How to register a Prepaid SIM?

Globe Telecoms offers three methods for prepaid Globe SIM reg. You can choose any of these methods according to your preference. Below, I have provided a detailed tutorial of each method along with the screenshots. 

Note: The process to register SIM for Filipinos, minors, corporations, and foreigners is almost the same. However, the requirements vary in each case.

1: Globe SIM Registration Link ( Portal )

2: SIM Registration Globe Via App

You can also register a Globe SIM online using the GlobeOne app. It is almost similar to the above process. However, I have provided a detailed tutorial about it for your ease.

  1. Download the GlobeOne app on your mobile phone from the provided button below.

  1. Open the app and enter your Globe number in the required field. Click on the “register” button for further processing.

  1. You will get an OTP on your Globe number. Enter the OTP in the required field to complete number verification. Enter the OTP within five minutes for successful verification. 
  2. Now you will get a form. Fill the form carefully according to the official details. Double-check the form and ensure accuracy before submitting it. 
  3. Open your mobile camera and take a selfie for face verification. Always take a clear and visible selfie. 
  4. Choose your ID type and click “attach” to upload the ID. 
  5. Check the box to agree with the Globe Privacy policy. 
  6. Finally, click the “submit” button to finish the process. 
  7. You will receive a reference number on form submission. Save the reference number as proof of registration.

3: Register SIM In Stores 

If you are not comfortable with online Globe SIM registration, you can choose in in-person registration process. You will get in-person assistance in this process. Here is how to register a Globe SIM card in stores:

  1. Visit your nearest Globe store along with your SIM card and required documents.
  2. Ask the attendant for SIM registration. 
  3. You will be asked to provide some details and documents. 
  4. The attendant will assist you in registering your SIM card.

You can choose any of the above registration methods to register your prepaid Globe SIM.  All the methods are safe and secure. But I prefer to register via the online registration link. It is because it is simple and quick. However, you can choose physical registration in-store if you are not comfortable with online processes. 

Note: Your SIM will be automatically activated after the successful Globe SIM registration. There is no separate way to activate the Globe SIM card. 

Postpaid And Platinum Globe Registration

The process of Postpaid and Platinum SIM registration is different from prepaid. However, it is straightforward and can be done within a few simple steps. Here is how you can complete the registration of Postpaid and Platinum SIM cards:

  1. Enter your Globe SIM card in your mobile phone, and you will receive from Globe Telecoms to confirm your registration details.
  2. Now type “SIMREG”  and send it to “8080” to confirm your details and registration.
  3. You will receive a message that confirms your Globe Postpaid SIM registration.

Just follow the above steps to register your Globe Postpaid and Platinum SIM card. If you want more assistance, visit the Globe stores.

How to Check Registration Status?

You can check the SIM card registration Globe status on the official portal by entering your number. Look for the SIM registration badge in the app to confirm registration. You can also verify by SMS through “8080”.

Follow these steps to check the status via the Globe SIM app.

  1. Open the app and log in to your account.
  2. On the homepage, look for the “registered” badge near your phone number.
  3. If you find the “registered” badge, it means that the SIM is registered.

  3. Send it to “8080” using your Globe SIM.
  4. In reply, you will get a confirmation message that verifies whether your SIM is registered or not.
